TORRES
DEL PAINE & RIO PENITENTE
Chile's natural wonder
For the angler and non-angler alike, this trip combines
great fishing and a visit to one of the world's natural wonders, the
Torres del Paine National Park. In the park we stay at a comfortable
hosteria with stunning views of the grantite torres or "towers"
from which the park takes its name. We'll tour and hike the park with
a naturalist guide, visit its massive glaciers and dense forests,
and fish the waters both in and around the park. Wildlife is abundant
with flamingo, rhea, Andean condor, guanaco and grey fox seen frequently.

From
the park we'll head to an inn on the Rio Penitente, located within
casting distance of the river. We'll fish several private sections
of the Rio Penitente for the healthly browns of this freestone stream.
The hosteria is full of native artifacts and turn-of-the-century antiques;
it is like walking into a stately manor home, albeit in the wilds
of Patagonia. Join us for great fishing and a trip to one of Patagonia's
wonders.
